Fedena Mobile App
Type: Mobile App - iOS and Andrioid
Role: End to End Product Manager and User Researcher
Problems Solved:
Instructors do not have access to a computer to use Fedena to record attendance (MVP and v1).
Parents are not able to access their students’ academic performance easily (MVP and v1).
School administrators want a mobile app to keep parents updated with latest events in the school (MVP and v1).
School managers wanted to get an overview of all activities of the school (v2).
Academic admins wanted the mobile app to be the hub during and after Covid-19 (v2).

Role: User Researcher and End to End Product Manager
Problems Solved:
Schools used customized grading systems even if they followed a nationalized system for the country. Each school wanted flexibility to tweak the default system by using custom formulas and groups of tests to evaluate a student in an academic year. The current systems were based almost entirely on one system and provided little to no configuration options.
Schools were increasingly following a mix of academic test-based system and an activity or behaviour based evaluation system for a wholistic evaluation of the student.
Report cards given at the end of a test or grading cycle were designed by each school and they were not willing to use one default format of report card. Often faced with little budgets for technology and modernization, customization of report cards in the current system was expensive for schools.
Fedena ID Cards
Type: Web App and Portable ID Card printing solutions
My Role: User Researcher and Product Manager
Problems Solved:
Institutions depend on third party vendors for printing student and employee ID cards who are not very reliable at times.
User data is easily lost and/or error prone during transfer or entry often using Excel Sheets.
ID cards are lost and need to be replaced often therefore require frequent printing in small quantities.
Certificates issued by the institution have to be also published following different designs.
Certificates in small batches need to be printed and made available digitally as well as physically
